Snow storm 1950 Pittsburgh
DISPLACED PERSONS – Among the thousands stranded in Pittsburgh by the snow was this family from Yugoslavia. The bus in which they were riding was stalled. Left to right are Joseph Picynyk, holding son, Joseph Jr., 2; and his wife, Frances, holding seven-month-old Frances. With help of Travelers’ Aid Society, they got enough money for a train fare to Kansas City where they will live with relatives.
